Mount Hermon

Mount Hermon, likely the site of Jesus’s transfiguration. Rising 9,100 feet above sea level, Mount Hermon can be seen from the Dead Sea 120 miles away. Mount Hermon is covered with snow two-thirds of the year and its melting snow is the source of a large percentage of the water that flows into the Jordan River.
